Water (soil) Classification

Waste Classification for disposal can be performed on solid waste (soils), liquid waste, and organic waste materials. The classification can be crucial to the reuse or disposal of a material and provide economic benefits to the outcome of any construction project. Samples can be collected and pre-classified either in-situ for immediate disposal or when excavated material has been temporarily stockpiled. Sampling in-situ and pre-classification of soils can be useful for forward planning of quantities and costs, and help eliminate construction delays and double handling.

The NSW EPA strictly regulates the testing of soils for on-site reuse or off-site disposal. You can prove to carriers, receiving locations, landfills, and local governments that the items were disposed of and classified in compliance with the NSW EPA Waste Classification Guidelines, 2014, by having those materials independently tested.

Resource Recovery Exemption

We can help you with your application for an order and exemption in compliance with the requirements of the NSW EPA, which include the application procedure, inspection, and sampling. Because your material may be virgin excavated natural material (VENM) or excavated natural material (ENM), doing this will save you time and money.

Costs associated with building delays might be quite high. We are aware of this, and in order to keep your project moving forward, we have skilled environmental engineers and scientists on hand to offer prompt onsite guidance and recommendations.
